European Walking Route E4: Route Tsada - Episkopi - Pafos airport.

Cyprus is the easternmost section of European long distance path E4, an international network of 11 long-distance walking routes running for many thousands of kilometres that starts at Gibraltar, goes through Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Crete and Cyprus.

The Cyprus section of the path goes from Larnaka airport to Pafos airport. Along the way it takes hikers through Cape Gkreko, along long stretches of rural countryside, up into the Troodos mountains and down to the Akamas region, going through areas of exceptional beauty and significant ecological, historical, cultural and scientific interest.

Too long to be tackled in one go, the route is designed primarily as a cross-country route, missing out some fine landscapes and important cultural sites but it does provide a good sample of what Cyprus has to offer.

European Walking Route E4: Route Tsada - Episkopi - Pafos airport.

Length: 24 km, time required: about 8-11 hours

The final section of the E4 path in Pafos descends from the village

of Tsada, alongside the nearby golf course, through wild gullies, towards the valley of

Morounero, follows the valley and reaches the village

of Episkopi (alt. 200 m). Look out for the vertical rock formation in the area. The route

then follows the natural course of the river and ends up at the coast, by Pafos

international airport. It follows along the coast to  reach the airport, where the

European Long Distance Path E4 ends (or starts).

Getting away from it all! We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Pambos, the owner, did a great job in making us feel at home right from the start! The house itself is located at the end of a steep road, near the edge of a small village. The pictures just do not do it enough justice, when we arrived there were flowers everywhere. And besides completely unobstructed views, you will enjoy lots of privacy at the pool. And even though it feels miles away, Paphos is only 15 minutes by car. The interior has lots of traditional details. We had a great stay at the house! An excellent way to see the real Cyprus, without giving up any comfort.
